Positive Psychology Summit 2001 Application Information
October 5 – 7, 2001
The Gallup Organization
Washington, DC
Please see the instructions below if you would like to apply for a travel scholarship or apply to present a poster or talk.
Submitting a Poster or Talk
There will be time for submitted posters to be displayed in an open venue during the lunch periods of the Positive Psychology Summit 2001. Those presenting posters should be present with their poster during the poster display session. A very small number of 20-minute talks will be accepted - beyond this number will be given poster times. To apply, please submit a short description of your background and a one-paragraph description of the contents of your poster or talk to Kris Eaton (keaton@s.psych.uiuc.edu). The deadline for submission is June 1.
Student Travel Awards
There will be travel scholarships for students. The graduate student travel stipends will be awarded based on when you apply (the deadline is May 15th, but priority will be given to early applicants), your reasons for wanting to attend the Summit, and your background and record. Therefore, in your e-mail applications, please provide:
A. A one-paragraph description about your reasons for wanting to attend the Summit 2001
B. A vita or other summary of your experiences, educational program, awards, and so forth
C. The approximate budget you would need in order to attend. When several students from the same university attend, they can often share a room and otherwise coordinate travel plans in order to reduce costs. Because of the number of applicants, it is possible that travel stipends will only partially pay the travel costs. But in no case can an individual travel award exceed $900. Please send relevant information about your application to Kris Eaton (keaton@s.psych.uiuc.edu).
Notification of travel award money for the Summit 2001 will be made during the summer.
